One day this guy was telling his buddies how he made his own hot sauce when one of them said, "Dude, I have a few recipes myself. We should put our heads together." Eventually they met up to compare notes and decided they were on to something.
Based in the small east bay town of Pittsburg California, we're focused on flavor, and never use ingredients you can't pronounce. Unless you're bad at pronouncing common English words, then well we tried.
At fifteen years old, James won his first "Hot Salsa Eating Contest" at a friend's house, and started cooking a few years later to impress his girlfriend. Well she married him anyway, so he figured it was only fair that he learn to cook. The rest, as the say, is history.
Matthew grew up in and around restaurants, but instead of carrying on in his mom's business, he went to serve with the 101st Airborne Division. Upon finishing his service he wandered, like Kane from Kung Fu, looking for a project that he could be proud to put his name to. After a few successes and failures, his wandering lead him talking food, recipes, and sauces with James… and with that, begins the adventure he was looking for… mostly.
